Project Submission via Website

Step 1: Registration - Provide project details and payment in full. Then, once complete:

  • Written Materials: Entrants will be required to answer the following six (6) questions. Each description must be 350 words or less (unless noted otherwise) and the design firm name cannot be used in any responses. 
    • Provide a project statement to describe project objectives/goals. 200 words or less. (This description will be used on the boards for People’s Choice Voting)
    • What makes this project an example of a Brilliantly Executed Space? Include the thinking behind the design, the design philosophy, and any solutions relevant to the project objectives. (If Best on a Budget, include information on budget strategies.)
    • Provide any special challenges on the project. What unique thinking and creative responses solved these challenges?
    • What makes this project sustainable and environmentally conscious?
    • How was equity, diversity, and inclusion integrated into the project vision, process, and final outcome?
    • All Design projects are collaborations beyond the design team (i.e. Consultants, Managers, Manufacturer’s, Contractors, Dealers, etc.) Besides the immediate team, who else made contributions to make this project successful, and how did the design team collaborate with them to push and improve the design?
      • (Student Projects are exempt from the above question)

 

  • Visual Materials: Entrants will be required to upload the following to the the project submission website:
    • Floor Plan(s). Max upload size of 25 MB. Do not include title blocks or company logo.
    • Concept, schematic, or design development sketches (maximum of 5 images). Max upload size of 20 MB.
    • Photography. Maximum of 8 images per entry with a max file size of 25 MB.
    • Project Presentation Template -
      • A PowerPoint template is provided. Please include information as indicated on slides.
      • All text in the PowerPoint should be Century Gothic font and centered on the slide both horizontally and vertically. The size of the text should be maximized for ease of reading. 
      • The background of the PowerPoint should be white. Do not add any additional graphics. 
      • When submitting images, remove all title blocks, logos, and firm names from all image. Failure to do so will result in disqualification.
